Hydraulic Thermostat Plastic Model

Hydraulic Thermostat

Expo hydraulic thermostats have proved effective as regulating and controlling units in heat convectors, electric ranges, washing machines, OTG, room heaters, storage heaters, heating appliances, deep fryers, water baths, oil baths etc. These thermostat s are intended to regulate the temperature of liquids, gases and solids. Manufacturing of these thermostats requires the finest workmanship.

Operation

The principle by which our thermostats operate is that of liquid expansion. The hydraulic thermal system consist of a sensor, the hydraulic tube and the diaphragm. When the sensor heats up, the liquid expands through the capillary tube into the diaphragm where a working stoke is produced, by which a snap action switch is actuated which opens or closes the circuit.

Physical Characteristics

The standard control knob is a black plastic molding with white scale markings. The switching mechanism is enclosed inside a high temperature resistant plastic casing. The hydraulic is made of copper, which works as a connection between the switching mechanism and bulb. The bulb which is also made of copper, works as the sensor. The capillary and the bulb are also available in stainless steel.

Mounting

The thermostat are operated by a knob put on the spindle and positioned on zero. On principle the bulb should be mounted so that it can sense the temperature and can be removed without force. The bulb should not be deformed. The thermostat casing is mounted to the control panel by two screws.
